That's correct,
The 273 was the first of the LA wedge motors, built to fit into the A-series Vans and trucks.
A good little motor, just not as potent as the Poly, the block is the same as the Poly block, but lighter, hense the term LA, for "Light A". This block eventually became the 318LA, 340LA and 360LA.
