probably the #1 problem in re-wire / resto
surfaces are painted and no longer provide a path for the ohm bugs to get to earth (of the truck so to speak)
run aux grounds everywhere then the ohm bugs
will be happy happy
the wiring diag should indicate where grounds should be attached
