Red line is about 4200 rpm. Generally, cruzing speed is computed at 60% which would be 2520. Due to their long strokes, these engines are not designed to cruze at 3200 or 76% of red line. I would recommend to someone that they comply with Chrysler's recommendation. You don't know the condition of their engine and they are some what expensive to rebuild.
