To 12V, or not to12V?

Just recently purchased a '48 B1PW. Knew that one of the previous owners had converted to 12V. Well, he only converted charging, ignition and headlights. I knew gauges didn't work. I now know why. All gauges are still 6V and all wires to everything have been cut and removed, including fuel level sending unit on gas tank. Heater blower motor and electric windshield wiper motor are 6V - and work well. Guess I got lucky there. My problem is this. I have a 46 CJ2A that is all 6V and I love it because it gives me no problems at all. Ya'll know what my dilemma is.
