Everyone's bid is a bid by proxy, you enter what you want to bid, and the program sends it up by whatever increments are specified ($.50 to $100.00 a bid). I for one, bid what I'm willing to pay. If out bid, or 'sniped', oh-well! They must have wanted it worse than me. Occasionally I'll get an e-mail that says "You've won your auction!" and I think - "huh?..." and have to check the link to see what I'd bid on previously. I've even managed to get Power Wagon stuff that some of you didn't find or didn't want! But I can see if you're a serious e-Bay'er, you can check others bidding against you (I see "missionkraft" and usually run the other way!!!) and use it as a tool to guage what you're willing to bid.
