the list is long and for a good reason most of the time, such as Skill Saw for circulating saw, Kleenex for facial tissue, Crapper for toilet (yes there was a Mr. Crapper who developed a model of the toilet), Power Wagon for any 4x4 Dodge, Jeep for any 4x4 small utility truck, Portaband for portable bandsaws...etc.,...etc...The original or the standard by which all others are judged is usually the best, not always, but usually copies are just that, copies to horn in on the profits by taking a good idea and making it cheaper to maximize profits. However the traditional model was broken when Levis started making their jeans cheaper and making them overseas, Carhartts then became the standard for work pants.
