The diameter is very close. You can see the older one in the pic. The seam is slightly open on it, and it looks like it is made of slightly thicker steel.
The steel supplier guy said these concrete lag sleeves are very strong, so the nominal difference in thickness is probably insignificant.
I checked and the spring bolts fit through the same on old and new.
