Same fender Terry, just flanged mounting.
One tricky part about making First Series fenders is that they are not flat on the cross section...they have a shape if you look at them.
If you took a Second/Third series rear fender & cut off the flange & welded a piece of flat stock, you'd still need to run the fender through an English wheel to get the proper curved shape to the top of the fender.
