Jimmie I had a 1990 W250 with a Cummins and a 5 speed that I bought with 88K miles on it. The Cummins had pump problems and the Getrag manual would pop out of 2nd gear. The truck was sound and went to 250K when we traded it for a '96 2500.
I have the complete owners manual from my '90 but it doesn't say what axles it had. I would think it would have Dana 70 rear and a 60 in front (others correct me if I'm wrong). Before this truck I had an 86 W250 that I put 140K miles on and never touched the engine outside of regular maintance. It was a carberated 360 and I would think this injected motor would be just as good. Good luck on whatever you decide to do just chance all the fluids and filters so you will be good to go. I had a 78 W200 Clubcab which was my first 4x4 and I loved that truck with the full time 4 wheel but that's another story.
