1980 to 1997 full size ford pickup (all models). These are plentiful and cheap (I paid
$150 for the pump, box, hoses and pitman arm). Just finished writting the program to cut
all the pump and steering box bracket parts out on the CNC torch. W mounted the pump on
the right side of engine, am using a custom steel pipe to reroute the radiator hose. Also
am fabricating steering columns (same as original only 10" shorter to alow for the longer
steering box). This steering box is a perfect fit. The hardest part of the installation is
enlarging the large hole in the side of the frame 1/2". The rest just bolts in (with
proper brackets)

I'll save one of the first batch for you. I decided to mount the pump over the generator
on the left side instead of the right (That way I can use the right side for the A/C
compressor) I should have mine up and running tomorrow. BTW while I have the steering box
out I am installing a 2 circuit master cylinder on a bracket just bellow the original
location (Yes, now the MC will be straight and level instead of pointing uphill!)

I wasn't aware there was an adaptation being made. How much is this puppy? My truck
arrived with a smaller than stock steering wheel and I just got a bigger one from the
salvage yard. Power steering would be welcome though.

I would like to know more about the power steering kit. Will it convert Carryall, what
parts will it consist of, and how much will it cost? Email me directly if you can.
Thanks, Ron

Won't know the exact price till I make a run of sets. Should be less than $300 + $160 on
your end for the pump and steering box. That includes a new steering column just like the
original but with a flange on the lower end that bolts to the firewall and a universal
that hooks up to the new box. Should be an easy bolt in one day project.
