These were the WC-54 and the WC-64.

The WC-54 has a body with rounded corners and the top roundss down to the windshield. It is 'streamlined' looking. If you've seen the MASH TV program ambulance at the beginning of the show, you've seen the 1/2 ton version. The 3/4 ton body is very similar.

The WC-64 is the "Knock-Down" ambulance. The body is very square looking, and the cab is not solid sheetmetal but mostly canvas. The body is made up of flat metal panels that "knco-down" flat for shipping. With the removable cab top and fold down windshield, it took up much less space on cargo ships than the WC-54. Both have the same hood and front fenders. Surviving WC-64 Ambulances are not common, and if this is what you have, consider yourself fortunate.

Also, see if there are numbers on the hood. If so, email them to me or post them and I'll see what info I can find. I have a listing of most WC numbers, though my list cuts of just before WC-64.
