There is already a desert run in Anza Borrego (East San Diego County) planned for mid March. Cole Quinnel, editor of Petersen's 4WD and Off-Road mag, will be their doing an article. If your event were closer to this time frame, people could attend both events and would be more likely to drive out. Ross Bartlett is helping to organize this event. March
18 and 19 is the weekend that is planned around Cole's schedule. We could have a show and a fun run too. Running on the dunes was great in my CJ5... wonder how my 5000lb. '64 Town Wagon Power Wagon would do? It would be great to coordinate both events to coincide maybe with in a week of each other. I've got family in North San Diego County and LA, so there's plenty of incentive to come out. Another trail ride may be in the works in Colorado as well.
