I hope this helps, I just rebuilt a 360, the book I have says to insert a large screwdriver into the slot for the distributor and turn, I think its a counter clockwise turn. you may have to work it a bit, but it does work. I dont think you can remove the cam without removing that shaft and gear assembly first. Good luck.
