If one's political bent is such that they blame America first for all of the worlds problems, then the ideal of American being attacked does not fit right with their philosophy. (when is the last time you saw a picture on TV of the towers burning?) The left runs most of the networks, controls most of the programing and are way too irritated by their recent election loss.
However during the last weekend, Oliver North's 'War Stories' and several History Channel programs did make mention of Pearl Harbor, and NBC had several mentions and an interactive presentation on the web.
Don't expect true history from CBS, ABC, CNN, or from most of the others. To most of the left, our service personnel are an embarassment and they are more interested in covering POW's with underware on their heads than with covering past or current successes.
Thankfully, the 'old media' is living on borrowed time and people are starting to learn that there are other points of view being expressed that run contrary to liberal dogma.
America is not bad, our troops are not baby killers and freedom is not free, regardless of the last 40 years of leftist indoctrination, the vast majority of these United States still remember and still get it right.
