Last year in our county, a guy was driving his restored 50's Ford vintage pickup. It did not have seatbelts. He tried to make too quick a U turn apparently, and the truck went off the road in the ditch right by his house. He was thrown out, where then the truck rolled over onto the lower half of his body.
THe real horror came when the emer crew got there, and they lifted the truck off him to get him out. RIght then, he bled out due to the release of pressure on the severed vessels in his pelvis. He died right in front of his hysterical wife. Very sad, and could have been prevented.
I am going to put seatbelts in my flatfender.
