Presuming all the foregoing is true and correct, Spend the $50.00 to $150.00 to consult an attorney. It's a cheap investment with no downside. Your attorney will probably tell you that you have a couple things going for you. The vehicle is in your possesion and the person making the claim is in another state. It may not be financially viable for the other party to pursue.
Conversely, if you are just yanking our collective chains , our aggregate retribution will be withering.
