No frame extensions were factory, the 1/2 ton's used longer frames for the winch models. Or are you talking about cutting the frame from a junker? I think the form would require going back past the front shackle?

Not to say a skillful welder can't make some, there are enough bolt holes for brackets and hooks to bolt it up without drilling holes in the frame. Then you will have to cut a hole or notch in the front crossmember to allow driveshaft clearance. I did it with a MU-5, it was bigger than MU2, mounted lower so main shaft was centered vertically between frame rails, didn't need to notch crossmember. But the auto driveline I used got bent on the front axle housing first time I jumped it- a 2 piece solid shaft with another u-joint and pillow bearing would have been better.
