First off very nice truck,don`t see too many in this country,especialy DeSoto badged.

The BALM number I am not sure about.They are on 50`s Australian trucks as well.)Might be paint code)
3PW 5328 = Body style
If there is a plate (drive side fire wall in engine bay) saying made by Chrysler Kenwick South Australia then it would be made there.There should be some other numbers on this plate as well,eg,W2-26.
KEW 2B21749 standard 251 side valve installed in all Australian trucks after 1953.This eng#seems to be about 1957.
On the passenger side fire wall in engine bay are there letters pressed into the metal,eg, TJ Richards.(Richards made bodys for chrysler in the early days)
