There's much to be said about the stock capabilities of a PW. Could they be made to ride better, that's obvious. My guess is most owners aren't looking to fix something that's not broke. The truck would surely take on a different personality with better designed springs but being able to have more articulation and softer ride will just increase the opportunity to go faster offroad and create more potential to put the truck in places you wouldn't take a stock PW. I'd rather go bouncing thru the bumps in a beater, not a PW.
