The formula for determining the amount of 7/16" cable to fit on a drum is as follows:

length in feet= A x [A + B] x C X 1.19

A= the depth of the drum sides (from the winding surface to the outside).
B= the diameter of the drum (the winding surface).
C= the inside width of the drum.
