Anyone ever looked at an Electronic Ignition for the 6cyl?

Anyone ever looked at an Electronic Ignition for the stock 230 6cyl Engines? I ask because I checked into "upgrading" from a carburetor to Fuel Injection, and the one requirement was you would first have to switch to an Electronic Ignition.

Now by the time you pay the $1200 for the TBI and say another $300 for the Ignition, it's not a good financial decision, but was just wondering if anyone else ever when down that path.
