AA Battery Leaked

I have a camera battery pack where 1 AA battery leaked just a tad. There is a very small amount of the dreaded blue on the contact. Will baking soda remove it like it does with a car battery where it leaked ?? or is there something better to use. Nothing has been eaten up............yet.
