Gotta agree with Jonas. I purchased a WC 1/2 ton with no title -- only a bill of sale. Took 2 months and 6 trips to the California DMV but finally got a title. In California now you have to buy a bond to protect the state if somebody comes looking for your vehicle claiming a right to it. As I was forking over the 50 bucks for the bond, I was not happy. But now after hearing your story -- if it is true -- I'm not so peeved.
