Absolutely. Diesel oils have fantastic additive packages, and there is normally no problem whatsoever running them in gasoline engines (of course, check the ratings first). I've run HD synthetic diesel oil in both my Jeeps since new (most recently Amsoil 5w30). My most recent UOA (used oil analysis) on both vehicles in August of this year showed much lower than average wear numbers for both engines, which all my UOA's have throughout the life of the vehicles. I run extended drains of up to 10,000 miles, and I like the ability of the HD oils to really lower the iron numbers, which tend to be high on Jeep 4.0 engines.
