I am hoping to go on a Power Wagon adventure here in Oregon one of these years. Now that my 230 is like new in the '53 FF, I don't fear loosing the truck in the bush as much. Some day I plan to load up about a dozen jerry cans, my camping gear, spare axles (!), mountain bike and other tools, and head out into the mountains for a week or two of off road trekking. Most of the planning will involve making sure no one will get upset with me crawling across their (our) land. I figure on getting out east of the Cascades to the high desert before turning back toward the Willamette Valley and home.
The biggest impediment to this fantasy is my pesky job! I need the money, but I need the time, too. Maybe next spring.
I've been thinking about this for the ten years I've owned the Power Wagon, but with the new engine it seems within reach now.
Thanks for the added inspiration.
