Yes, I am aware of interchangable ring gears. But the fly diameter was different also. The original BH was a manual clutch.
The engine was a 1979 out of a Dodge Pickup. Both were LA's and the BH is the same number as on my Bumblebee. Since it bolts right up to a 318, my guess (and thats dangerous) is that the Hydraulic BH was for the 318.
