I saw them from downtown Wallace last night and drove up to Lookout Pass (I90 on the Montana line) and watched for a couple hours. Absolutely incredible! Sometimes it was steady curtains of light, sometimes very flashy and flickery all over, sometimes it looked like bright arcs burning across the sky, or straight beams. I could definitely see lots of green and later some red in it. At times the whole sky was filled. Most of the time the main action seemed to be straight overhead, but maybe that's just an illusion. They say there's a good chance of more magnetic storms tonight, so it's worth taking a look now and then.
