I had a BB gun at the age of 4. My parents would let me run around in the fields next to our house (to me it was miles, I am sure I wan't out of ear shot) As long as I was home for the next meal or when they hollered I was golden. I used to shoot at the bulls across the creek. I was busted in second grade with a knife my parents gave me. My parents where mad when they found out I had taken it to school. I am from Oklahoma and was busted with the knife in California. I plan on living in the country where my kids are limited on video games and T.V. They will have plenty of stuff to play with like dirt bikes, go carts and of course bb guns and 22's when they are ready for them. People worry to much about going to court. If my kid is hurt get them help, If they are doing something wrong punish them. I may only be 26 now but I plan on raising my kids to be outside and enjoying life not worrying about pissing someone else off because of what they do. Everyone needs to take a nice long drive in the country in an old truck and sip on a beer and just relax and enjoy the view. Maybe they will learn to not worry so much about everyone else and slow down to appreciate life. A quote from a movie "Van Wilder", "Don't take life so seriouse. You will not make it out alive."
