Well, there is no solenoid, and there is no bendix (maybe an override "clutch"?). When you push in the starter pedal, it is supposed to engage the starter gear with the ring gear before you bottom out on the motor switch. The switch is the only "sidecar" on the starter motor. I'm still 6v, Pos grd., too.
