I have no choice but to leave my trucks way back in the woods with nobody to watch them in the winter since that's where my cabin is. When there's 7 feet of snow on the ground, as there was a couple years ago, there isn't much to worry about, but I once hiked in in february and passed a group of snowmobilers as I was going in. They were pretty friendly, though I didn't think much of their bragging about chasing some moose a ways back. But when I told them I was heading for my cabin, they got quiet and left. Come to find out, the snow was up to my eves and they'd been highmarking on my roof.
