Many old performance items and ideas were simply limited if not down right worthless.
All performance mods should be studied from a scientific and engineering viewpoint to get the actual maximum from any mod. or upgrade or its just iffy experimenting, you
know, iffy I do this or that, maybe this or that will work or happen.
The actual only supercharger from the past I've ever seen on a L-head 6 was a paxton type mounted up by the carb w/the driving shaft being horizonal coupled to a vertical shaft with a 90 degree gearbox and the chargershaft being vertical.
