I read here that a 318 poly has a forged crank and a LA has a cast crank. Since I'm sure you have a foundry and blast-furnace, what is the difference in manufacturing process and strength attributes? If anyone else is as knowledgeable as MN, give forth. I imagined all cranks were 'cast' and then 'forged', without knowing really what each term means.
