you might put an inline fuel filter (clear plastic) and make sure fuel is getting to the carburator under full throttle.
then put a timing light on and see if the timing is advancing as you open the trottle
if not then check advance mech in dist. If
all this is ok then it might be time to get out your shop manual, open to carburator
section, remove carb, disassemble and check
settings (ie float level) and check for blocked hi speed passages or damaged accelerator pump
