After installing the nos E7S1 with slotted gaskets above and below the centralization plate I did a warm idle fuel mixture adjustment w/vaccum gauge and went out for a 10 mile drive. The new carb is a big improvement over the tired E7T2 w/o gov. Much better throttle response and it doesn't see a hill coming sooner than I do....big change. Then I tried the drilled gasket between the plate and governor body. Can't swear to it but it seems a little snappier pulling through the gears. The one thing I noticed most of all was the slower roadspeed now that the governor is controlling rpms instead of my right foot .
