Run some trans lines to the front of your truck. Auto trannys live & die by the ability to cool the fluid. Trailer pulling will kill an auto fast if it does not stay cool.

With my TH-400, I used a large (go as big as you can fit) RV auxillary trans cooler fitted to the front of my M37 radiator with shrouding (very important!) around the V8 engine driven stock fan. Did not use any electric fan. So far so good.

Also, I put a drain plug in the trans pan so that I can drain/refill fluid in between filter kit changes without dropping the pan. I keep the fluid clean and red.
