You can go on off on off on with the key and then count the flashs of the check engine light and match the codes. Dont hate computer engines. It is telling you whats wrong. The PCM is sensing something is wrong and giving a check engine light. I cant remember when the OBD codes changed over on Mopars to where you need a reader and not able to count the flashs.

You coulda got a miss fire due to a lot of things. I doubt the correct type of plugs would cause and engine right. Dealers are real touchy on having a STOCK vehicle.
