How about an NP435 married to a NP205 then add a Gear Vendors overdrive behind the 205?
I'm advocating this because I have a daul PTO 435 and married 205 for sale. It is definitley cheaper than a Nv4500, but I'm not sure it would save enough money to buy that $2500 Gear Vendor.
pros:
cheap bellhousings available to work with 435 and Helitool V-8 kit.
cheaper PTO than NV4500
married T-case reduces noise/vibration
Gear splitting overdrive gives you 6 road gears and 16 off-road gears
Cons:
must fabricate T-case crossmember
Rear driveshaft might end up awfully short
Did I mention the overdrive costs $2500?
