Your question does not specify the type of vehicle to which it is directed, however, assuming that it is a flat fender PW, open the "Best of Forum" at the top of this page, and scroll down about 3/4 of the topics to "Diesel in your Dodge". This article by C. Aaron addresses various overdrive options as well as diesel installations.
This article mentions the Gear Vendors unit, which must be installed behind the transfer case. It is the most expensive of the models discussed, but is very heavy duty, and, because it operates through a solinoid, can be directly connected into the 6V system.
There is also a U.S. Gear unit, which also must be installed behind the transfer case. It is probably the most solid unit that I have seen, but it needs 12V to operate the electric motor that preloads the gear change mechanism. (I have one of these that I am attempting to have installed in my C3PW).
Since all of the units appear to have about the same % overdrive, I would assume operating results would be similar to those of the Dennan unit noted in the other postings.
