A while back there was a discussion pertaining to the throttle position sensor on a Cummins automatic. My OD was erratic, at the same time I had a BAD engine oil leak. I pressure washed the engine to locate the leak, & the trany started operating perfectly. After replacing the front crank seal & sealing the gear cover I put the truck back to work. We found it still had a leak from the valve covers, the trans started to act up again & the sensor was covered with oil. On a hunch I washed the sensor with parts cleaner & the tranny works ok again. So before anyone with this problem buys a new sensor ($250.00 $450.00 ???) try cleaning it & the wiring harness. Regards,George
