Personaly I would not run a motor without a oil filter unless it was a correct resto muesem piece type of thing that i would never own anyway.I used to own a vw bug and never subscibed to change it more often.I have a remote dual filter kit that i am going to install on my truck after I install the headers.I am also going to run phram hp1 filters on it (big boys)Afilter also adds to total oil volume in the motor that might come in handy some day.I also have a new melling hi-volume oil pump that I am going to put in and check the bearins when I do that.Well that is my caffinated post for the morning .
