John came up with the concept. When running down the road I belive DOT would want that steering to be solid? So he tapped and inserted a large bolt to limit the steering when running down the road. When you get where you want to use the rear steering all you need to do is back out the bolt and Voila! It also has a safety switch so that the kids can't monkey with it. To trigger the steering when the bolt is removed all that is required is to push the rocker switch mounted on the gear shift lever which ever way you want the rear (front) to go, very slick and very smooth!
