Ok Power Giant experts:

The longer I look at this '57 D-400 the more I want to keep it. Seeing the 265 Flathead six is on its way out soon, I would like to find out what else is an easy replacement. I have acess to a 315 POly. Would this fit the bellhousing of the 265 Flathead? The '57 truck has a 4 speed in it, but I am not shure what trans it is...... The 315 has a bellhousing and a NP420 on it. What will it take to convert the truck from 6 to 8 Cyl? and what model trans would be in the truck now? THanks for the help!
