Due to the wider front fenders than on a W100/W200, it is not necessary to "lift" a W300 before installing Michelin 1100-16 tires front or rear. They work well on flat land with the 318 V-8 I have, but the truck is slow on grades, perhaps due more to its weight than anything else. It has the 4.88 axle ratio.
