Well this is where things get into a gray area for me. You say profit for the 1200 hours of labor You restore an old classic for the love of the vehicle. Not for profit.

Was your labor professional or was it in the backyard garage? Did you use the highest quality items to restore the truck or did you cut corners for "profit". Are you a professional restoration person? If you had been a professional would it have taken you 1200 hours? Would it still be fair to the buyer to pay for 1200 hours of restoration at a professionals price for amatuer backyard work? Would a professional have been able to do the work in say 600 hours? Does the paint have runs and orange peel, fish eyes? Was it painted in a booth? Did you use filters for water and particles? Was it wet sanded many times? Was a high quality paint used or just a cheap do it yourself paint? Will this new buyer that is paying for the profit of 1200 hours gonna get to redo the paint in 2 years because the metal wasnt prepped and the paint is peeling off or the cheap paint or method used causing it to fade?! Or maybe scratches have showed up because the body was stripped using a rough compound and then not smoothed? Or the primer was not sanded and reapplied and sanded again.

I'm not knocking your work or anyone elses work. Theres a good chance a home restoration can look good and hold up over time. But dont charge a price for your hours of labor that reflects a professional situation when its not.

In Iowa this summer there were many nice trucks but you could tell the difference.
