Good morning all.

I'm doing a few written articles, and I'm out trying to find answers to questions and questions to answer

My current article is about the WC-3x and WC-4x half ton 4 x 2 militarised civilian trucks. They made about eight hundred of each in 1941 and 1942, and they pretty much look like standard 1941-pattern half tons except for some military features like rear bumperettes, front tow hooks, and side mounted spare wheels (because the bumperettes blocked access to the normal rear underslung spare wheel location)

I have tracked down several survivors, but they all happen to be Carryalls which survived because they were used post-WW2 as school busses. What I need to know is has anyone in the group seen, or have any pictures of, plain panel vans with these side mounted spare wheel recesses and / or rear bumperettes. There are also about 400 off each pickups with no survivors recorded, and it's likely that they had rear bumperettes too. Anyone know of any?

Bonusus available as they made exactly two 4 x 2 half ton telephone trucks and you know of one or have a picture of it.

Chassis numbers would be 8110xxxx or 8111xxxx, but not all trucks with those numbers would be militarised civilian as I've found a few ordinary civilian trucks in the same sequence.

Next - anyone have any questions about these or any other WW2 Military Dodges that they need answers too? I'm looking for the sort of questions that need interesting explantaions as replies so I can incorporate them in the article, but if you ask a really interesting question or I use an image you send me you get credit in print...
