Yep, that's what I had in mind. Would also be nice to have lockers on at least one rear axle so one could avoid excessive drag and tire wear on dry pavement without having to remove the interaxle driveline. I'm not sure how you could make them, though, without making a splined rear axle shaft with an end similar to the front one.
