I'm going to guess anyway for a couple of reasons - guessing is fun, I don't have my manual handy, Rob needs some entertainment, I doubt very much any of my answers would be taken as gospel, I have some experience (that is a relative phrase)with M37's, and finally what the heck - so here goes - all qualified by "I think" - carbs are not special, I never saw any special seals on butterfly shafts, the generator is waterproof, like the rest of the electrical system, oil fill and dip stick have rubber washer type things in the cap and stick handle shroud thing, I think I read somewhere Pvt. Bailey is supposed to jump out and loosen the fan belt to let the fan idle before fording, not sure about the exhaust manifold, the block is already cooled enough to prevent cracking, but I'm not a metallurgist either. If your asking these questions does that mean you are leaving the stock drivetrain intact and passing on the cummings/nv4500? One more fording point made numerous times here - the diff's, tcase and tranny are not water proofed, they have breathers that do let water in.
