I have a 318, NP-435 with 4.89's in my Bumblebee. Its a sweet setup, pleanty of power. I climb almost 1800 feet up a back road to my home, go all the way in 4th.
With more highway speeds, you should also consider better brakes (4 wheel disks) and maybe power steering. As Will (in MI) suggested go to www.uglytruckling.com for a lot of good info. Look down the forum earlier today, you must get your order in soon as Ray is leaving on Nov 16.
