John, I'm currently in the process ($$$) of rebuilding a 270 hemi ('55 Dodge) for my M-37. Check out this guys site below, not a lot of numbers, but some things to think about. These aren't dime-a-dozen Chevy small blocks, there aren't alot of places that have parts and even fewer up-grade type parts. The costs of things starts to climb QUICKLY!! Just know what you're getting into before you start!
