This has been covered a few times before, but here goes again . . .
swap the M37 body onto the Chevy. The long wheel base Chevy frame works well. It lets you have on road gearing, PS/ PB, cheap plentiful parts, and creature comforts at a low price. Contact Midnight Engineering in New Castle and Claymont DE and ask for Dave P. He puts the Dodge bodies on suburbans usually. Then he uses either a blown 350 or 454 to power the thing. He latest project was a 4x4 2.5 ton with 4 way steering.
